Q: What if I’m not strong enough?

A: Strength is a relative term. First it’s relative to the size of your body (i.e., a 200-pound person is going to be stronger than a 100-pound person). Second, it’s also relative to your experience level. When you begin executing our program at Intensity Training Systems, you’ll notice that as you become more flexible and confident in your form and technique, your strength numbers are going to start increasing … and so will your confidence.

Q: I’ve lost weight before, but it’s always come back. How can I end the cycle?

A: Starvation diets and/or extreme exercise can make the pounds melt off pretty quickly in the beginning. But if it’s not sustainable, those pounds can come back … with interest! At Intensity Training Systems, we offer simple, sustainable nutrition strategies that fit our clients’ lifestyles … so they can capitalize on what they’re already doing well … and can get great results without turning their lives upside down and giving up all the foods they love.

Q: I have a really busy and unpredictable schedule. What if I don’t have time to work out six days a week?

A: At Intensity Training Systems, the vast majority of clients train 2-3 times per week. If they’re following our simple nutritional guidelines and doing some non-exercise activity on the days when they don’t train in-person with us, they’re doing everything then need to get great results. Extreme exercise programs that preach things like “train through the pain” and “no days off” are recipes for overtraining and overuse injuries. Rest, recovery, nutrition, hydration and sleep play an important role in your results.

Q: I’ve tried group fitness programs before and gotten injured. Is that going to happen to me again?

A: That’s a question that’s best answered with a series of questions. How many people were in the class? How many trainers? Did you undergo any type of initial evaluation … or did they just “throw you to the wolves?” At Intensity Training Systems, you’re never training with more than [X] people, so everyone is getting all the personalized coaching they need. We pay close attention to our clients’ limitations when it comes to flexibility, joint range of motion, and injury history, so we’re able to modify everyone’s program so they get the safest, simplest, and most effective workout.

Q: I’ve been to gyms before and always felt awkward. What if I don’t fit in?

A: Our community is friendly and supportive, and our experienced clients love taking new clients under their wings and helping them get into the swing of things. And our coaches take the time to make sure new clients are ramping up slowly and performing the appropriate modification of all the exercises … so they quickly gain confidence and a sense of accomplishment that helps them feel at home.

Q: What if I can’t keep up?

A: There’s no such thing as “keeping up” at Intensity Training Systems. Everyone works at their own pace, and we motivate each other … but never pressure anyone to do more or go faster. The words, “no pain, no gain” don’t exist here.
